The Little Scholars Christian Mother's Day Out program is under the direction of the Lewis Educational And Recreational Nonprofit. This program is an outreach to the China, Nome and Sour Lake communities and will promote social and emotional development, an opportunity for growth and structure, promote language and cognitive skills, boost pre-math and literacy skills, develop motor skills and nurture your child’s curiosity!
*This program is not a licensed child care center. This program is a Christian MDO and preschool program that meets twice a week for no more than 4 hours a day.
We are non-denominational, read and teach from the New King James Bible and provide a loving and safe Christian environment for your child. The children will be introduced to chapel (sanctuary) and to a knowledge of God every class day!
We are blessed to be located at First Baptist Church - China at 607 Broadway; China, Texas 77613. While we are a separate organization from the church, we are blessed by the generosity of FBC to kindly host us!
"Kids in preschool discover that they are capable and can do things for themselves -- from small tasks like pouring their own juice and helping set snack tables to tackling bigger issues like making decisions about how to spend their free time," says Angela Capone, PhD, senior program manager at Southwest Human Development's Arizona Institute for Childhood Education. "Plus, 4- and 5-year-olds have begun asking some wonderful questions about the world around them -- what happens to the water after the rain? Do birds play? Quality preschools help children find answers through exploration, experimentation, and conversation.
